Our brothers, Josue Zapata Sánchez and Jenny Castañeda Berjon, put on a small play showing the birth of Jesus, with the following children: Brenda as the Virgin Mary, Alex as Jose, Diego Marcos and Miguel as the three kings and David, Juan, Angel, Maribel and Stephany as little shepherds, and Vaness as the angel.

Our small actors acted as well as any grown up professional, they expressed their lines beautifully with great conviction and the tenderness only children can demonstrate. Each of their acts showed special kindness and candour. They have demonstrated accelerated spiritual progress which surprised us when we consider the physical and pyschological conditions of these children when entering our home.

We give thanks to God for this progress, but we know there is still much to do. Following the Christmas play, we gave gifts to the children, and it seems these were the first christmas gifts they had ever received. The expressions on the faces of the children showed us they are again learning to trust and love, not us, but God who uses us to provide that love these children desperately need.
